Aloha

Kate:
Congratulations, I assume Aloha is based in Annapolis, Maryland.  Our Canadian built BCC is berthed in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.  Perhaps IDUNA and Aloha can share an anchorage this fall.

That was my maiden "sail". Nice to meet you. Kate

Aloha footing out of Annapolis, Maryland, destination BCC Rendezvous.

The Pirate Queen

Into the Choptank the Pirate Queen Sailed

Wind on the Beam, Water on the rail.

Surprise and Iduna reaching in pursuit,

Running up the Choptank, close on Aloha's heel.

Pirate Kate looked aft, to Iduna and Surprise.

Frowning she knew, they were closing the gap.

The lovely Kate made a vow,

The water and sky flashed red

And off she went with the devil in her breath,

Aloha, Aloha, too fast for the others

That day under sail.

We all knew, the Pirate Queen had made a deal.

Aloha's soul, to the devil she went.

Thanks Rod, the picture is fantastic! Your poem a treat. Kates deal with the devil cant be beat&however I did figure out that Aloha is really light. She floats six inches higher than Surprise. Next time Ill empty my water tanks, too. Tee Hee.

The Rendezvous was just a fantastic experience! I enjoyed it so, so much. It was a great and wonderful thing for everyone to meet. Next year well do three days so we can play more and of course, work on our boats together.

Thank you all so very much for making the effort to make it happen.

Aloha,

Kate
