Last chance BCC

Greetings Friends,
We would like to thank everyone for their interest in Pelagic.
She is still for sale. But as she has not sold yet, we are
considering listing her with a local broker. Yuk!
If you would like to be included in an “exception list” on their
contract, please send us your personal info. Name, address, ph,
email etc.
This will insure that you can purchase the boat from us, the owner.
at or near our asking price.
We know that Pelagic is more than fairly priced as equipped. And as
dedicated as we have been as BCC owners, we would not like to see any
new owner pay any brokerage fee if at all avoidable.
We will be making our decision in the next week or two.
Best regards to all,
Russ and Carol

Hi Tommy,
Close. We are in Kemah. Here is our standard
response for your review. Hope to hear from you
again.

Our BCC is hull #93. Built in 1990. This boat is
new
on the market for US$114,900, (now reduced to
$111,500)
it is being sold by owner & has never been listed
with
a broker.

We have owned the boat for five years in Jan. 2001.
And are the second owner. The previous owner only
daysailed the boat & even had the boat in covered
dry
storage for 2 years when we found her. So the boat
was
basically brand new when we bought her in 1996. The
engine had only 240 hours on it when we bought it
and
currently has 1700hrs. It looks and runs like new!
We have been cruising the Eastern Carib. for the
past
16 months.

Equipment List of Major Items:

Much more…

This boat is 100% factory finished.( Sam Morse
yard.)
We have only modified the nav station to house our
electronics. And added cave lockers over the work
bench for clothing. Plus relocated the batteries to
a
box under the companionway stairs. It is the
standard
layout with slide out pilot berth/double and galley
to
port and settee, nav station/fridge and quarterberth
to
stbd. Centerline head forward with work bench and
lockers. Chain locker and sail and rode storage
forward of that.
The topsides wood is all teak except the bitts which
are white oak. (Deck is fiberglass) We painted the
teak bulwarks with off white polyurethane paint over
the varnish. It has held up great. We found that
varnish on the bulwarks does not last in the
tropics.
All the other wood is varnished teak and well
maintained. Spars are yellow, aluminum.
We just repainted the bottom and boot stripe in
Trinidad about 5 months ago.

The original owner (we are the second) added nothing
more to the boat than storm sails and a vhf radio.
He kept it in showroom condition and only took a 60
mile motor trip from Florida to Grand Bahama in it.
Otherwise only day sailed on the St. Lucie river.
All
other cruising gear was added by us within the last
three years and is still in perfect working order.
The only finding in the original purchase survey was
loose fiberglass tabbing between the inside of the
port settee locker and the floor. It was found to
be
non structural in nature and I have since repaired
it.
This ship is ready to go anywhere as equipped.
The original owner had almost immediate gelcoat
blisters below the waterline. Sam Morse repaired it
under warranty. Peeling the gelcoat and applying
epoxy barrier coat then new antifouling paint.
There
has been no recurrance of the problem.

Please write back with your thoughts and further
questions. We have entertained a few out of state
parties already. But we have not accepted an offer
yet.

We are located at Kemah Boardwalk Marina, Dock “F”,

Please give us a call anytime. But mornings and
evenings are best.
Thanks again.

Russ and Carol Burchfield
