Latches

Re: Mark Gearheart latch inquiry
I have a (shudder) C&C 33, it has elbow catches for latches, with a finger
hole through the door or drawer. They work great, can be accessed with
gloves on and are really cheap. Barrel bolts leave hardware on the outside
that can be struck in a fall whether the door is open or shut.

Hello-

I have the same brass elbow catches and like them. Make the
finger hole generous sized and it doubles for a bit of
ventilation. Carry a spare or 2 as I had one of those little springs
break and had a hard time finding a replacement overseas.
