Hello folks, we just bought Frank Gillease’s 1981 BCC Shawnstar. She just arrived after being trucked from Coos Bay, OR to Belfast, Maine. We are going to move her into my shop to do a fair bit of work on the teak deck, galley, water tanks, and lots more. She was out in the weather for some years and is in need of attention. We are very excited to have such an awsome boat! The plan is to complete the work this winter and be on the water next summer enjoying the coast of Maine. Belfast now has two BCC’s in residence as well as a wooden Hess designed boat. Reading the threads on this forum has been very helpful and I’m sure we will be full of more questions as we get into the project. I will post some pics as we get into it, Frank had the boat factory finished but with a unique layout.
