Update: The Great Chesapeake BCC Rendezvous June 29-30 Trippe Creek

Aloha BCCers,

Hi there. The time is getting nearer. Is everyone getting their boats ship shape?

Good news! We might have Alfred Halsey join us with his Falmouth Cutter Polaris Jack. Hes sailed her to Venezuela twice and up to Maine and all over the place. Sumio gave me the Falmouth Cutter Owners List so I can alert them. There might be a couple more Falmouth Cutters around. The land party is growing, so I hope some of you who dont have your boat handy will come by land. Skip and Riki Fritz are coming. Theyre staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Oxford. Let me know if anyone else would like to attend by land. Well make arrangements to go pick you up.

Im hoping that the four of us from Annapolis can sail over as a flotilla of BCCs on the 29th. Lets see how plans come together. Oh yeah, the person who comes the farthest will receive a very nice gift from RogueWave. I think some folks will race across the bay or head South for more sailing adventure.

Aloha and Maholo

I’m a fan of the BCC, but not yet an owner.  Does anyone sailing
down from the North need crew?

Hi Kate-

FYI he goes by AO- a very interesting person. We met
him and his wife in Trinidad while we were cruising .
. . i also seem to recall that is isn;t exactly a
falmouth - it’s a 26 footer of a strange background.
That’s great news - we have been trying to get in
touch with him for a long while!

We’ll do our best to be there . . .

I met AO while I was living aboard a 27 foot trimaran in the Bahamas. His
boat was built in Maine . It is a Hess design but not a Falmouth Cutter

Nica,

Thanks for the update. AO said his “Falmouth Cutter” was built on the
East Coast. It sounds like an amazing boat. I think he will make it.

Have you located a new home for Calypso yet? I really hope you can sail
up. If you can’t sail, then I hope you will join the Land Party so we
get to meet.

Kate
