If you’re looking for a BCC that has been well fitted out for blue water cruising, Jolie Brise is for sale, and she’s in Jabin’s Yacht yard in Annapolis. We’ve owned and loved her for 14 years. Sailed her in the Chesapeake, then up the Atlantic coast to Maine (where we’ve had her on a mooring), with adventures along the Maine coast, and up to explore Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and the French island of St Pierre.

PS — A fun fact — When we bought her in 2010, we learned that she is one of the BCCs that is pictured in Ferenc Mátés book, World’s Best Sailboats. Each of her owners has made modifications, but she’s that boat. You can tell by the photos: the curved piece of wood in the saloon (the corner of the small tiled table on the starboard side); the locations of the clock and barometer; and the round mirror that’s mounted in the head.
