Crew needed for Carib1500 on BCC

Good Afternoon All,

I am looking for a crew to join us on our trip from Hampton to Tortola first week of November. If you have offshore experience and would like to attend this years Carib1500, please let me know via this link. We will be in Hampton by October 10th and would like to secure a crew by the end of October.

Our BCC (Little Hawk) is Hull #84 with all lines/furlings lead back to the cockpit. We expect the trip to take 10 to 14 days.

Look forward in hearing from anyone interested.

Thanks, Mark

Hello Mark,
My husband Kevin Peters and I bought Little Hawk in August, and we found aboard the marvelous slideshow DVD you made about your year of cruising. I assume you left that intentionally for the new owners and you have a copy of your own. Thank you so much!

We have two queries that you may be able to answer:
What is the type of bottom paint used?
When were the white bulwarks last painted?

As you may know, Bernie delivered the boat to North Carolina for us. From there we plan to head south after Christmas. We are thrilled ? as you must have been ? to sail such a legendary boat.

Sally Gadow

Hi Sally-Congratulations on your purchase of a BCC. I however was not the
former owner of Little Hawk. I own Salute no. 122. She was completed April
16, 2004 and on April 29, 2004 I sailed her from Newport Beach to the Ches.
Bay via the Panama Canal. I can confirm that BCCs are as good as their
reputation. If you are interested my trip is outlined at sail-salute.org.
Unfortunately, my wife died in 2005 and I have been uninterested in sailing
or keeping up with the BCC website. Nonetheless, I wish you the best of luck
and I’m sure you will enjoy and be proud of your new vessel. If I can be of
any help to you feel free to e-mail me. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
Mark
