Daughter's Poem

The Night Before Tomorrow
By Paige Orlofsky

?Twas the night
Before tomorrow,
And all through the place,
Everyone was happy,
With a smile on their face.

Why were they smiling?
Well, that part was clear:
Tomorrow they?d have a boat
To hold dear.

An offer had been made,
All the papers were signed,
And, the father thought,
?The Bristol Channel Cutter will soon
Be mine!?

The family went to sleep,
And as they closed their eyes,
They dreamed of the boat,
Which would soon be their prize.

Then in the morning,
They arouse quick as can be,
And drove to the boatyard,
To claim their brand new BCC.

Arriving at the boatyard,
On this most glorious day,
The family took their Bristol Channel Cutter,
And proceeded to sail away.

So why were they smiling?
?Tis mighty plain to see:
You will always smile
When you think of the BCC!
