Hello everyone!
I have made an offer on an FC but still the Flicka 20 is nagging at me: it seems its interior is more spacious and comfortable. I have yet to see one, but I will soon.
Anyone sailed a Flicka that can give a comparison of it to the FC for sailing qualities as well as the interior space?
Very much appreciated, I want to own a Pocket Cruiser soon!!!
THANKS!
Greetings, I have owned and sailed both. Its not fair to compare these boats as they are vastly different in size sailing ability and cost, not only to purchase but also to maintain. Feel free to contact me anytime. My two cents is I wouldn’t own either with an inboard if I was using it for anything more than day sailing. A

Hey I know this was posted a long time ago, but I’m currently stuck in this same quandary deciding between a flika 20 and a falmouth 22. I would love to pick your brain sometime if you still have any interest in helping a novice sailor.
Feel free. The Flicka is overpriced, slow, wet, and tender. The FC is the best boat I’ve ever owned. The right tool for the job…

I’ve been taking classes but still very new, was talked out of buying a Falmouth by the broker because he said it would be too difficult to handle for a beginner. Do you think he’s right?
I’m not sure what would be difficult to handle. Maybe hire a skipper for a few hours if you need to. It’s a little toy that can take you around the world. The FC can be a bit expensive to maintain and slow to sell but a dream for the right person. I had mine for over a decade and never once thought it was too small. Most people would think that’s crazy. I’d say going to work for 50 year so you can retire a year before you die is crazy. None of us know what we have left in our life bank. I’d say live that dream. Cheers.
