I have an unfinished Falmouth Cutter 26 with an aluminum mast. My deck and keel have not been prepped for installation. My mast came with an aluminum collar and foot, but deck doesn’t isn’t cut and my keel doesn’t have the be going hardware to receive the foot. I also don’t have any good sources on how to install the collar and foot. I’m looking for guidance on how to prep the deck and keel. Does anyone have good recommendations or photos of how their collar and foot are setup?
Do I need a backing plate for my collar?
Do I need an aluminum plate on the keel below my foot?
Do I need to drill and tap the lead keel for the foot bolts?
