Dear List Members,
I just received information from my local Pac Seacraft Dealer
that they are once again building the Flicka and the Dana, and that
the base price of the Flicka will be $59,000 (!) and the Dana will be
$69,000. Pac Seacraft will be building both boats using a “single
specification,” competitive price basis.
"While some specification details are yet to be determined, both
boats will be available in a standard color (likely ‘Oyster White’),
hull and deck, dark blue stripes, have somewhat simplified interior
joinerwork, slotted aluminum toerails, our stand chrome-bronze ports,
Yanmar inboards, and Ullman sails. Specification sheets will follow
next week.
“Both boats will be built with characteristic Pacific Seacraft
quality, and most importantly, the structural specifications of each
model will remain the same. Spring delivery.”
I will personally look forward to seeing the new boats, and
comparing them against the prior models.
Cheers,
Glenn, steinerphoto@glennsteiner.com

Glenn:
Your news regarding the Flicka and Dana is very
exciting. Both boats have a strong and loyal
following and are excellent bluewater cruisers.
If Pacific Seacraft builts the boats to their high
quality standards and is aggressive with their
marketing and pricing, both boats should find a very
receptive market.

thanks for the info on the danas and flickas. Very useful info. When will the specs be made available to the public?

Steve:
Glenn (post 697) was the person who first alerted the board to the
news regarding Pacific Seacraft’s decision to reintroduce the Flicka
and Dana. That is good news for all of us who value seaworthy pocket
bluewater cruisers that are reasonably priced.
I have no more details, but I will be checking later today with the
Pacific Seacraft dealer here in Annaopolis and will pass along what I
learn.

Dear List Members:
The Pacific Seacraft dealer in Annapolis confirmed the information
contained in Glenn’s message. Final details re interior joinerwork
are still being discussed, but the decision to go forward with the
reintroduction is firm. Pacific Seacraft will manufacture the boats
in packages of approximately five, i.e., they will wait until they
have five orders and then manufacture all five at the same time. The
list of options for the boats is also still not final. Apparently
the dealers will receive more information perhaps as soon as this
coming week. The decision to proceed with the reintroduction was
made in response to the many requests made directly to Pacific
Seacraft and its dealers by prospective owners.
