Funding Drive for the BCC Forum

Robin Mudge and Kim Price of the BCC Aura just donated to our fund raising campaign. Thank you Robin.

Our grand total now is now $1,763.00.

Thanks to everyone for making this happen.

Rod

Mark Pliskin just pushed our grand total to $1,863. Thank you Mark.

Rod

This morning when I wrote my “mini tome” about mechanic actuated LPG valves, I thought about how much time I donated to this particular thread - all total about 3 hours. How many marine yards can design and build a mechanical actuated LPG valve let alone provide a written explanation. My guess is very few and a owner will pay dearly if a yard built and installed one.

These type of entries are routinely made at the BCC and FC forums by our members who give of their time freely, share their projects and post pictures. No, it’s not free, we help pay the bills by donations when we run fund raising campaigns. The BCC and FC forum knowledge base is a priceless resource to BCC and FC owners. I believe all the generous individuals who donated, did so, because their recognize the value of the BCC and FC forums.

The campaign is “officially” closed just $137.00 short of reaching the $2,000 mark.

Thanks to every one who donated.

Fair Winds,

Rod

My donation of $100 has probably not reached you yet, as it was mailed on Friday from Canada. Upon receipt, that will push the total to $1,963.

Gary:

Thank you so very much. Wow, $1,963.

Anyone wish to donate $37 and push the ball up to the $2,000 mark? Or, four $10 donations.

Rod

Mehmet

Mehmet:

You are more than generous with your two donations. Today’s contribution will push the ball to the $2,100.00 mark. Thank you so very much for believing in this site.

Rod

Nathanial Berkowitz: Thank you for your generous donation to the fund drive. Your donation just pushed the total to $2150.00.

Thank You,

Rod

count me in for $100 when I get back John, presently somewhere in the sea of Abacos enjoying the fruits of the forum, it has been such help to me building my boat. I shall be back in civilisation early june and can forward then once I get my feet on solid ground. In the meantime thank you so much.

Stewart:

Thank you.

Rod

Rod, Thank you for spearheading this drive, and John Cole for hosting. I will send a check for $100 this week end to John. Sorry to be late as I saw the posting today. Also, I was cruising the West Coast from mid-December 2010 until late March 2011 in my land boat (a Suburban) and visited three favorite people companies. I plan to issue an update on the visits soon. I’ve been behind as I immediately started a work assignment upon return. Regards, Paul Achenbach, Tortuga

Paul:

Thank you, thank you.

Rod

Hello Paul

Many thanks for your generous donation.

Regards
John

John, I sent a check as promised today by paypal, let me know if it comes thru ok. Thanks for all the good work.

Stewart:

Thank you, thank you.

By-the-by, Yanmar makes exhaust risers in stainless steel, as well as bronze. I just found that out from Mack Boring (big Yanmar distributor) this weekend.

Rod

Got one Rod thanks, wouldn’t mind the contact details of the yanmar distributor though. The install of the new exhaust went easily, smoothly and expensively…at least it is now reliable.

Stewart:

Mack Boring is a large diesel distribution and parts company for Yanmar diesels.

I do not believe they sell directly to the consumer, hence one must go through a dealer.
