Emboldened by some unseasonably benign weather and having sucessfully
navigated through Holiday Season obligations, Dottie are now preparing
Itchen to start from Solomons to Florida via the ICW, if the weather doesn’t
get too nasty next week. In any event, we will have to break the trip into
two or three segments – leave her enroute for a few days or a couple weeks
to return home, attend to business and then resume the trip. Any
suggestions for nice secure inexpensive transient mooring, marina or
backyard dockspace between Norfolk and Jacksonville. First stop will be
anywhere between Norfolk & Coinjock for a couple of weeks. After that, too
soon to say, will depend on the weather. No “facilities & services” needed,
just reasonable security from vandalism and roiley wakes from waterway
traffic. Reasonably convenient access to bus, train, one way car rental, or
airport would be a plus.
Happy New Year to all from,
Scott, Dottie, and Itchen
