Hoping someone has faced a similar problem - or can see a stupid mistake I’m making.
I need to replace my Maxwell 1200 windlass gearbox; worm sheared; I have the replacement in hand. To install I must remove the spacer tube (num 33 in attached diagram). It seems I need to remove the bottom clutch cone (8) and the emergency crank collar (12) to get to the spacer’s bolts - but for the life of me I cannot get ‘em off. I’ve tried wd40, ATF+acetone, and oh god so much prying: no joy.
Any wise heads have a better approach or relevant experience? (I have also tried every curse word I know across two languages.)
