new environmental regulations "styrene in polyester and vinylester resins"

I’m new to sailing, but I’ve been looking at a lot of boats. I
really admire the bcc made by sam morse. They are simply the most
beautiful, traditional looking boats their size made today. I’ve
recently heard of some new epa rules which classify styrene as a
hazardous air pollutant. Boatbuilders will apparently be penalized
according to the construction techniques they use. The upshot is that
the traditional open-boat building is on the way out. Dose anyone
know how this may affect the production of the bcc ? Possibly so few
each year are built that it will not make a difference? Any thoughts
or comments?
