If we move this group to a new venue,
some of the functionality may change.
Many discussion tools today opearate
as online forums which typically do
not deliver new postings to you via
email. Instead, you have to go and
visit the online forum on the web to
see if there are any new postings and
read them there. Traditional email
delivery of posting to an email
distribution list is definately less
passive - which encourages ongoing
participation. Online forums
typically offer good organization of
the postings and good search tools.
