Thanks for the input. What sort of sail did you get, battens? None? FancyTrack?
My sails are loose footed and have battens. The mainsail is tanbark, the staysail and jib are cream coloured. I have a Harken batt slide system (I think that’s what they call it). I had that system before I got the Hasse sails. It works well enough, but I’m not sure I would get it again. The ball bearings are captive only when the sail is on the track. When the sail is taken off the main track the bearings are free to escape to the sea, which they definitely will if great care is not taken. Fortunately I do not need to remove the mainsail often, but still it seems like a poor design to me.
