Hi, I’m looking at perhaps replacing the bowsprit on my new (to me) Falmouth Cutter, hull # 21. What was the species used for the original construction?

Congratulations on your new FC #21. The bowsprit on my FC is Douglas Fir. It is made from three pieces 9’ x 4 1/2" x 1 7/16" laminated together.
