Shaft log and cutlass

Bad luck - that was a tough break.
Hope you manage to shake off the death shake !

At the Fish Expo in Seattle, the “Spurs” line and weed cutter booth were deminstrating their unit to fishing boat owners.

These fishermen are a tough crowd to convince of anything.

The Spurs display was motor driven and the sales people were throwing rope at it to show how it cut the line successfully.

The salesman couldn’t convince the fishermen of it’s durability until he started throwing 1/4" 1 X 19 ss cable at it,it cut thru that ss cable just as it did the line, needless to say he sold many units that day, but it was a large unit for a 3" prop shaft, and my Spurs unit for the 1" prop shaft looks to small to cut 1 X 19 ss cable.

Over here in S E Asia , plastic fish nets are every where, most streached right across channels between sand bars, dimly lit if at all, most unattended.

Judging from a few shreaded line remnants, I see during underwater prop cleaning and during haul outs, my spurs have saved my butt many times already.
