I have altered the policies slightly regarding signing up and
posting. All requests for membership must now be approved by a
moderator (me) before that person may post. Once membership is
approved, your posts and emails to the list are processed immediately
without further moderation.
Previously, all posts and emails from new members were moderated.
This occasionally led to delays as I did not always review such posts
in a timely manner. I’m also facing an increased volume in
inappropriate posts which I have to reject. I’m hoping this change
in policy will elleviate these problems.
Relatively new members remain subject to moderation. I will switch
these accounts to unmoderated as circumstances dictate (i.e. you
attempt to make a legitimate post).
Thanks for all of your efforts Jeremy. It is a wonderful site. I wish
there was some way to show my appreciation for your work. When I was
building Cyrano #120 I looked to the site constantly for information
and guidance.

Jeremy,
I’ll second that. The site was extremely useful when Dottie andI were
interested but not yet certain about buying a BCC, and even more so now that
we actual own one. From first hand experience I know what a hassle it can
be to moderate a discussion group and am enthusiastically in favor of
anything that you think will make your task easier. Thanks,
Scott Odell
