Hi guys, well, another good day out on the water on Friday.
I flew the asymmetric for the fist time and despite pretty light airs, it was fun.
I set the tack line up through a block on the end of the bowsprit, and back onto the retaining pin over the anchor roller temporarily, thinking to adjust it once the sail was flying, but it proved too difficult to move once the sail was set.
I’ll maybe bring it back to the anchor windlass next time so that I can easily pull down the tack as required.
I left the staysail flying, and looking at the photographs I could have eased it a lot more, but it didn’t seem to interfere with the spinnaker at all.
Sorry for those of you whose sailing season is over - ours is really stating now!
