Hi Guys,
Well, another good day on the water on Friday.
I flew the spinnaker for the first time.
Despite the light airs all afternoon it was fun.
The tack line is pretty long, and I set it up through a block on the end of the bowsprit back onto the retaining pin over the anchor roller temporarily, thinking to adjust it once it was flying, but it proved too difficult to move once the sail was set.
Next time I’ll maybe take it back to the anchor windlass so that I can easily pull down the tack as required.
I left the staysail up, and looking at the photographs, I could have eased it a lot more, however it didn’t seem to interfere at all with the spinnaker.
Sorry for those of you whose sailing season is pretty much over…
Ours is just starting!
Cheers,
Mike.
