The Great Chesapeake Rendezvous DATE!

Aloha!

Thank you all for your enthusiasm, your input and ideas, and your
contributions. We are going to have serious FUN with this.

Now is the time for us to COMMIT to a date!.

There’s a nice moon on the 22nd and 23rd which would be NICE.

Or we do Saturday June 29th and folks can plan to sail all around and
make it a big Fourth of July adventure.

I say, let’s do Saturday June 29th as our formal “raft up”. We’ll all
bring some hors devours and something to drink. We get there in the
afternoon, shooting for 3:30 or 4:00 PM.

Dinner could be “informal” sharing and grazing…I picture a kind of
roving feast of whatever delicacies we want to share.

In the AM we all get up and do breakfast…more roving and comparing
our experience…lots of coffee and chat.

Then Sunday we can get underway to where ever. Or we could sail to
St Michaels or go to Oxford or something fun. Maybe those who want to
can go ashore for dinner someplace. That would be fun.

Depending on people’s schedules, we could sail as a fleet. Sirius is
indicating a southerly path. That could be very nice. Personally, I’d
like to go to Solomon’s…maybe Leonard Creek. If anyone wants to
make an adventure, you might sail around and spend the fourth in
Baltimore or Annapolis. That could be fun too. Now really, is there
anything that would not be fun?

In terms of getting there, Iduna is coming from Baltimore so perhaps
she’ll stay in Annapolis on Friday and Aloha, Sirius and Iduna can
trunnel down to Trippe Creek on Saturday.

So, my friends, BCC people of Chesapeake, All those not in favor of
either the 22rd or the 29th speak now or forever hold your peace
because we will soon proclaim the DATE!

I’m about to proclaim the….29th in hope that people will go
sailing
for a whole week.

The 29th is better for IDUNA but we can also go on the 22nd.  IDUNA will put her vote in for the 29th.

Kate-
I think we are better for the 29th than earlier . . . as we have two days up and two days back (if the weather is good!) any free day from work is good.  But other people might have a better shot at making this than we do . . . and their vote should count for more.

We still have venezuelan rum from our cruise . . . and we love to share!

Aloha, Calypso and Iduna! and the rest of you pirates!

It looks like we all like the 29th - 30th. Hey Sirius! has anything
changed? We assume you are locked in on this date now.

Nica mentioned she has some great Island Rum she’d love to let is
taste. That should get the ball rolling.

I happen to know that Rod and Lenora bake outstanding bread.

What else do we need?

Thanks Iduna and Calypso for confirming our plan. I look forward to
more ideas for having fun and getting to know each other.
