Another PS; John, you can attach a thimble to the cranze iron with a
very hard to find bronze jaw to jaw toggle, I saw one on Bcc Flyer’s
lower bobstay end.
Brian Toss is a strong believer in “link” plates and recomended them
to me when we couldn’t find the jaw to jaw toggle in bronze.
I found the proper sizeing information to make your own link plates
in Bruce Bingham’s Ferro cement boat construction book.
